“Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossible before they were done.”
Louis D. Brandeis
Elisa Maria Aneculi
“No risk, no gain.” This is the principle that has always guided me in life and has inspired me to be brave and ambitious. This high school has given me many opportunities and I appreciate each and every one of them. Every achievement inspires and motivates me to develop and learn, both on an intellectual and personal level.
Adrian Crainicu
I’m interested in all aspects of computer science, especially competitive programming and cybersecurity. Competitive programming fascinates me because of its complex challenges and the need to find an efficient solution under time constraints. As for cybersecurity, I am mindful of how critical it is in this digital era.
Cristinel Matasă
I have a passion for computer science, especially for software development and cybersecurity. In addition to computer science, I am also interested in robotics as an opportunity to develop not only my programming skills, but also learn about mechanical engineering.
Teodora Papă
I am thrilled by the opportunity to learn from my teachers and interact with my peers, which is why I choose to take part in as many activities and competitions as possible. The results and awards I have gathered motivate me to continue my work in this area.
Călin George Pravăț
I have always striven to help high school students and show that, if you truly want to, you can excel in any area. Towards this end, I successfully ran for the position of Student Council President. In this role, I helped organize introductory sessions about so-called “jobs of the future”, such as forensics and informatics.
Emanuel Antonio Rotariu
STEM is not just a collection of subjects, but also as a lifestyle. This year, I had the honor to be awarded 2nd Place in the National Computer Science Olympiad. An area strongly related to STEM is that of robotics. My team, CyLiis, participated in John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory’s 2023 Maryland Tech Invitational.
Sebastian Florin Tănase
Ever since I was very young I have been fascinated by technology and by the ways in which it can help change the world for the better. One of the best opportunities I was afforded at this high school was being a part of the CyLiis Robotics Workshop, which allowed me to participate in First Tech Challenge, the largest robotics competition in the world.
Theodor Sandu
I consider myself somebody who craves knowledge and the opportunity to learn from those who know more than I do. My ability to work in a team, coupled with a willingness to spend additional time on projects have helped me in my journey towards self-improvement.
Andrei Tamaș
During my high school years, I managed to engage in activities that were very important for my development as a student and, also, as a person. In the context of the CyLiis Robotics Workshop, I was active in the “Peppers” robotics team, as a member for the first three years, and then as a peer mentor this year.
Mihai Radu
I have been passioned about technology ever since I was a young child. I taught myself programming in middle school, using online resources such as w3schools and taking Web Development, Data Structures & Algorithms courses, and also via FabLabs’ TechKids program. My experience has enabled me to contribute a wide variety of open source projects and continues to inspire me to take on new challenges and obtain national recognition.
Are You Ready To Help?
If your employer offers donation matching, please select Three Holy Hierarchs Church from the list of eligible organizations and indicate “Cezar Ungureanasu Scholarship” as the intended target of your donation.
For all others, a standard donation towards the charity program “Helping Fund” of the Three Holy Hierarchs Church can be made using one of the following methods:
- Write a check to “Three Holy Hierarchs Church”, indicating “Cezar Scholarship” under Memo; either mail the check or bring it in person at 6402 226th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace, 98043.
- Donate through Zelle – the church ID is treasurer@ortodox.org. Please include the same memo as above.
- Donate through PayPal Giving Fund by clicking here. This method doesn’t seem to offer the option for a memo/note but one method to differentiate the donations for this scholarship program from other donations would be to add for example 53 cents to the intended dollar amount. For example, people who originally intended to donate $100, would add 53 cents, setting the total donation amount $100.53.
